It is time for a change! The seasons are changing and business will not only soon be heating up for the Christmas rush but it is in the process of changing forever! I have to tell you, I have not seen much TV this year but I have read some awesome books. Wikinomics by Don Tapscott came out at the beginning of the year and I am currently reading The Long Tail by Chris Anderson.

What is on your learning agenda that you can implement this fall and in the New Year? My mentor tells me that energy flows where your attention goes, so I am making sure I am focused on what I want and not what I have to do to get there!

A revolution is coming and time is ticking.
Is it time for a change in your business?

You have the power of choice. Whether it is including a regular workout like walking around the block at lunch or deciding the upcoming Christmas season is going to be different. This year you are going to plan to stay ahead of the rush and enjoy taking some time off over the holidays. You'll need a supportive team and a sales and marketing plan to help you take charge. Map out your course and commit to taking those small steps that will manage the process from start to finish. You will see results in the long term.

When you delegate tasks out to others, you surround yourself with a team of support. You gain your time back and with it you gain back the power of choice. You get to choose what is important enough for you to spend your precious time on. What do you choose to do tomorrow? You only have 24 in each day just like everyone else and those hours are your most precious possession. So use them wisely. Recently I heard again the old adage " the secret to your success is hidden in your daily habits" it reminded me to begin again to be aware of how I am spending my time.

At many of the networking meetings I go to I run into business owners that are thinking "small" business. Meaning to say that they still think their business is just them. We need to join together and take part of the coming revolution to niche markets and fragmented customer spending. The day is here when the collective knowledge of the human race is multiplying at such a tremendous rate that you can not cover all the bases yourself. As I said, we need to band together now more than ever. We need to rub our minds together and spark conversations and energy for the journey!

So get on the phone, have coffee with the people you just met, ask for what you need and offer what you have. Learn to delegate the tasks that are not your forte or you hate to do and keep putting off. Someone else has chosen that field and they have spent their life getting to this point .. do you want to spend the rest of yours arriving at their point! I know I do not want to. I want to fill my life with what I love to do and delegate the rest.

Make a list of what is eating up your time and begin to eliminate those tasks that are weighing you down. You will gain the time you need to ignite those special moments in your life that can take your breath away. It is worth it!
